Transform your midweek treats with these easy-to-make baked doughnuts. Perfect for those who have a doughnut baking tray or a doughnut maker at home. This versatile recipe caters to both, with a special note on creating a delightful Cinnamon-Sugar variation.

Ingredients:

  • 200g of Cake Flour
  • 125g of Granulated White Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Cup of Milk
  • 50g of Butter, melted
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Large Egg

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • For oven users: Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) and ready your doughnut pans with a light coating of non-stick spray.
    • For doughnut maker users: Warm up your doughnut maker for about 5 minutes before you start baking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a sizable mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • To the dry mixture, add the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Whisk thoroughly until the batter is thick and smooth.
  4. Bake:
    • Transfer the batter into the doughnut pans or doughnut maker. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or cook in the doughnut maker for 3 minutes, until they turn a lovely golden brown.
  5. Cooling:
    • Allow the doughnuts to cool down before you start decorating them.
  6. Cinnamon-Sugar Coating (Optional):
    • Prepare the coating by mixing ½ cup of white sugar with ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a bowl. In another bowl, melt 50g of butter. Dip each doughnut first in the melted butter, then coat with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Let them dry before serving.
