Chicken Parmesan Recipe  1


4 chicken breast fillets
1 cup of all-purpose flour
2 beaten eggs
1 cup of Italian breadcrumbs
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp of dried basil
1 tsp of dried oregano
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of olive oil
1 cup of marinara sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Use a meat mallet to flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one containing the flour, another with the beaten eggs, and the third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the breaded chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish and top each piece with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve the chicken parmesan hot with additional marinara sauce on the side. Enjoy!
