STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

An old-fashioned strawberry shortcake! Fresh strawberries, sliced and soaked in sugar, spooned over freshly baked cookies, topped with whipped cream and you get a delicious homemade strawberry shortcake.

What better than strawberry shortbread to evoke the joys of youth? Strawberry shortbread is one of the easiest desserts to make, it’s perfect to end a family meal or to serve a large group of people because it swings easily.

To make a strawberry shortbread, simply mix sliced fresh strawberries with sugar and let them macerate a little. The sugar will extract the moisture from the strawberries and dissolve into a syrupy sauce. Serve the strawberries on a white cake or cookies and garnish with whipped cream.

When I was 6 years old, I was still watching a cartoon called “STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE” and I was really obsessed with it.
